Mahrez most certainly has his own issues and deficiencies but he’s also a master of keeping possession high up the pitch, creating space and chances galore and knowing how to fit our highly complicated patterns of play.I'd argue that Mahrez has shown on a few occasions his mentality could be better, not sure the younger players, with points to prove, would be much different.
No doubting, Mahrez is going to be very difficult to replace and I think we under rate him at times, but we do need to freshen up. Why not from within?

What good is 30m to us though? It'll take three times that amount to replace what Mahrez brings.
Consistently in the top 2 or 3 for goals and assists every season and is perfectly suited to our current system.
He may be 32 but his game relies on technique not pace so he could easily have 3 years left in him at this level.
I think we'd be better off keeping him to be honest.
