"No" he said "Robben!!" and went on to say a deal had been agreed a couple of months ago.

I questioned him several times and asked how he knew, he wouldnt tell me his contacts name, but assured me he was already a city player. My last words was that I'm going to put a tenner on it in the hope I'd bring some sense into the conversation......he said "I would".

He also mentioned about a Portuguese lad, a youngster who was supposedly the next tranny.....although he had no name, maybe he was talking about Lopez?

Anyway I'd thought I'd mention it as its a bit of coincidence really. I wanted to believe him so maybe I was a bit gullible, although I'm decent at working out a liar and he was telling me what he thought was the truth.

If Robben is fit he wins you trophies. I didn't see much of him last season, but unlike some very high profile players this is a player who performed right at the very top in the biggest of games and tournaments.

Hi Marvin, the injury issues seem to have started and at 31...only going to get worse....He missed the end of the season with a calf muscle tear and chances are, he might still be recovering and not 100%....Excellent player but at his age, we would be taking a big risk.....great player on his day but this is really a deal I would have liked to see 3 or 4 years ago......at 24mil I hope this is just another twitter rumour.....hopefully we just trying to push the deals for Sterling and De Bruyne if this is true.....we need to think long term, young impact players and not players coming to the end of their careers...in my opinion!;)

Didn't BILD or equivalent say were were after him a few months back?

24m or so was quoted then.

Would be an immense signing.
 
This was in the newspapers in May I believe, yep, Quick google search confirms this was doing the rounds then.
Would love this to be true as this guy absolutely rinses defences

He's always had problems. Be a dream signing, but I can't see us doing this out of the blue
 
My mate just put it on watsapp on our group
I have to say it did look legit
But I wouldn't know a fake account if it slapped me in the face
But as others have said it was posted at 4.55pm
So surely it would have been global by now

But I have 2 say I'd take him
Cpl of years 24 Mil great signing 12 Mil a year
No brainer for a player of his class and experience
