It'd be kind of pointless for Liverpool not to announce him now, it would look like they were planning to sell sterling all along if they announced this lad as soon as he left.

Agent confirms brilliant player maker is Manchester United bound


The Brazilian international Roberto Firmino looks Premier League bound after agent dops a massive hint about his stars future.

The Hoffenheim attacking midfielder who looks set for the big time with a £13.1m move to Old Trafford from the mid-table Bundesliga outfit known for playing entertaining football.

The precociously talented 23-year-old cost Hoffenheim just 4m euros from Figueirense so even though £13-21m seems quite modest they will make a huge profit on their initial investment should the player move for anywhere around that figure.

Firmino is naturally a no.10 but he is adapt with both feet and can play deeper, wider or on the wings and this versatility makes him such a valuable commodity to have in any clubs locker. In addition to ball skills the player has bags of pace and flamboyance but his energy and work-rate may appeal more to those who like there players to work hard for their money.

Speaking to German newspaper Bild the players agent, Roger Wittmann hinted “All I can say is that he will move to England.”

With Liverpool also interested in the player there could be a chance the player may be Anfield-bound but United are thought to be front-runners. Firmino is currently on international duty with Brazil at the Copa America.

No doubt Stuart Brennan will get the fucking blame.
 
There have been rumours of a Friday announcement from City regarding a player and for me Firmino is the only player that we have been linked with, that this is seriously possible. Any pre-arranged Friday announcement cant be about Sterling or Pogba and I think it is unlikely to be about KDB. Firminos agent has stated that an agreement is in place with an unnamed English club.

Different take on the same thing if they DID announce him now it would show they had been meaning to sell sterling all along.think they will play the we did all we could to keep him card

Might be going to Liverpool and they don't want to announce until the Sterling deal is done and dusted.

Or us wanting to sign Sterling first before he realises he's got some stiff competition for his place ;-)

You know he is leaving Hoffenheim for CL right? that is the only reason, he loves that club,

No doubt has something to do with more money and a higher profile club/league too. Not sure how many CL starts he'd get with us anyway if we can bring in our main transfer targets.

Having said that, Liverpool or us I reckon.

Rags want Felipe Anderson as their playmaker according to reports so I guess they wont be in for Firmino
