The journo is doing what is popularly known in the trade as... selective reporting.

Picking and choosing the facts and figures to suit his argument... being contradictory, hypocritical and the occasional random lie.

The fact that the rags have spent more than us this summer is irrelevant to him.

The fact that Liverpool have spent more (net) than us this summer
is irrelevant to him.

The fact that there are rag players earning just as much as City players is irrelevant to him.

The fact that the rags and Chelsea and Spurs and Liverpool and even Arsenal have spent every bit as much as us over the past ten years is conveniently forgotten, as is the fact that the rags were spending around £30m on players TEN years ago!

Is it any wonder the profession of journalism is looked on so scathingly in this country at the present time. They employ half-wits.

Still missing Anderson, Carrick and Nani who all cost more than Kolarov, not to mention Hargreaves who only just left. Young, Jones and De Gea cost about the same as Kolarov.

However there is a fundamental truth that City have spent a lot of money and there will be pressure on Mancini to deliver, which so far he has.
