Any manager in any field of work, is always going to be a c*nt in someone's opinion. I found it very easy to live with that, and I expect Mancini and Pep will do exactly the same, for as long as they need to.
As captain, it was part of Kompany's job to alleviate any issues in the dressing room. He didn't do that job particularly well, and let matters/cliques etc get worse, leaving it to the coaching staff to carry the burden. That's why Hart had so much power in the dressing room, and precisely why Pep pushed him out at the first opportunity.
Kompany by that time, was already 'well in' with the club hierarchy, who saw (perhaps still see) a possible future for him on the business side of things at the club, given his business management studies/qualifications. He was effectively 'untouchable' by the time Pellegrini arrived.
Exactly. Don't base opinions on hearsay, base them on your own experience of them. And as I have said, just because Managers are icons that also doesn't make them nice people.
As I have been in management I know that.
