His decision to play kolorov today, paid dividends, putting micah in ahead of nasty paid dividends, aguero coming on from the bench paid dividends, my personal opinion, is that bobby is showing the rest of the premiership managers, and even a certain Mr Ranieri and Mr benitez, how to rotate a squad and not fuck it up.
People are quick to pummel the manager when things are amiss, i'd like to praise the man for a job well done, not just today, but since his arrival.
Nasty had a strain and wasn't available to start but I won't draw too many straws here.
He hasn't played Milner enough although the extent of his turf toe ( that's the medical term ) is never made clear.
In fact one thing that really pisses me off about the Premier League is the timing and reporting of injuries and the selected side itself.
Its crap compared to the AFL and NFL just to name two examples.
Great points, especially about the Premiership and the ever-vague injury reports we receive (or don't receive).
With the exception of injuries in the warm up I cannot understand why the sides are not announced after the final training session as they are in most other sports.
Our reporting of playing availability bemused me.
I understand clubs want to keep certain players availability or not as the case may be under some wraps although I doubt other sides alter their line ups based on who we select and don't select and have seven subs to call on anyway if needed.
But the squad including subs should be published across the board after the last session at least 24 hours before kickoff.
Here in oz all teams are published at least 40 hours before game time which helps those looking at placing bets etc , dream teams etc but more importantly makes the friday press conferences more informative on why players didn't come up and the extent of the injuries is covered in far more detail with better guessitmates on length of time the player is likely to be out for.
I may have mistaken RM's italian again but I distinctly thought I heard him say that Micah would definitely not be available for Sunderland.
A ploy to throw a furfy to Martin , somehow I doubt it.
