Or what I said.
And you thinking that we would have lost the game if the substitution had not been made is way over-the-top. We had the majority of possession and were no where close to looking like conceding a goal.
How where there any less gaps (as you call them) when Bellamy was in then when Robby was?
You sound like Fat Sam after the game.
so you sound like the type who only watch what city do and not so much the oppositon then base your comments on this and this alone
Punctuation is your friend. Give it a shot.
I was watching both sides of the match and I will say that only once were they close to scoring (that I can recall). That opportunity was the header from Samba. All the other opportunities were from set pieces and we defended good enough to see them out. Just because the keeper had to make saves does not mean that the shots were strong opportunities.
If you think that Blackburn could have won, then surely you think that we could have scored 6 more goals. As that was the number of opportunities we had, including two from Robinho (which is more than Bellamy offered for the entire match).
The reason, I suspect, that Hughes took Robinho off is that he looked extremely tired. In which I agree that it was the correct option, but when he is at full fitness that will very rarely be the substitution of choice. In fact Bellamy will start on the bench with Tevez (who is also not at 100%) will be starting in his place.
I did enjoy your interview yesterday:
Allardyce: We Deserved At Least A Draw
Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce wasn't disappointed (that much) by our defeat against Manchester City, however, he was disappointed at missed chances that cost us.
An early goal from Man City debutant Emmanuel Adebayor and an injury-time second from Stephen Ireland confirmed a 2-0 win for Man City at Ewood Park with former Rovers goalkeeper Shay Given forced into at least two very good saves.
Allardyce told Sky Sports: "Shay Given's pulled off some very good saves, which you'd expect him to do, but perhaps not quite so many in the first 45 minutes.
"We fell for the early goal, which was a great finish but a little unfortunate with Stephen Warnock slipping."
The performance gave Allardyce plenty to be happy with but performances are not really any good without results to go with them, something that also wasn't lost on Big Sam.
He added: "I'm certainly not too discouraged by the performance.
"But we're in the results business so I'm disappointed that we didn't turn a good performance into a result.
"At the very least, I think we should have had a draw out of this game. We've done our best to score, certainly in the first half."
If you miss chances it often costs you as we found out, however, we've started OKAY (even if we lost) but need to take our chances!!
