After reading that berbatov wanting to leave, looks like the rags are freeing up some space in their salary wage cap to go all out in signing RVP.

I don't really mind him going there anyway as I'd pick any of our four strikers ahead of him anyway. Plus that c*nt would moan like crazy if he gets limited games especially during those big games. (ie. Manchester derby)

We should be going for squad players who would perfectly gel in with the best starting 11 in the country in my opinion.

IN:

Javi Martinez
Lucas Moura
Falcao (if a striker leaves)

you say we should be signing "squad players" and then you name 3 of the most sought after players in the world? You really think these 3 would be happy with being "squad players"??

they are young players with the potential to reach world class status. so as of the moment yes they are squad players. with the competition they have in those various positions they play for im guessing they will be happy happy with their playing time as to getting RVP who would have to compete with 4 top strikers in that position.

Falcao is better than dzeko , balotelli and is as good if not better than tevez , he is a dream signing for me !
no idea how you called him squad option?

Moura will not be a straight inclusion but he won't like to sit out games

Martinez is a straight one into the team , no way he's a only a 'squad player

dream on

All three of them would probably cost close to our club transfer record, no way would any be bench warmers, even Lucas.

If we want to be compared to teams like real or barca, then yes we treat them as squad players.

-- Mon Jul 16, 2012 1:18 pm --

they will not be bench warmers as the competition for those positions would be lesser than easier than the striker department that we have, hence the condition of falcao being purchased only if a striker leaves

if we signed Falcao, Martinez and Lucas they would all be in the first 11 straight away or there's bo point signing them.

and by purchasing RVP for at least 30m would that guarantee him a starting place in the first 11?

What is clear this wondow is management wants to cut the spending so that we can comply with FFP , which is a good thing , so why dont we , fans , understand that we are NOT spending £100m this summer , our NET spend will be less than £50m , the above discussed player will cost us atleast £100m ( falcao -£45m , moura -£32m , martinez -£30m? ) i dont see us selling assets more than £40m

Lets keep this real !

No chance City are going to pay 30m for RVP. 20m tops
