Roberto Mancini insists “it’s pretty unlikely” Edin Dzeko will leave Manchester City, but “I don’t think” Robin Van Persie will join either.

The Eastlands manager spoke to Sky Sport Italia this afternoon and was asked about Juventus and Milan’s interest in Dzeko.

“I’m pleased, as this means we have good players, but it’s pretty unlikely he will leave,” said Mancini.

“He is right to say it’s no fun being on the bench, but when you join a big club then competition is normal.”

Manchester City are also battling against Juve and Manchester United to grab Arsenal talent Van Persie.

“Van Persie? No, I don’t think he will come here,” added Mancini.

Going by some of Mancini's comments last season, I take this latest comment to mean..................................

"I think Van Persie will be a City player very soon".

Now I know it's the fail but they are running a story that we are out of the running for RVP and he is off to the rags. Can anybody please clarify.

I'm praying RVP signs for Stetford spending 15m+ and 200k+ a week on a 29 year old who will not play a full season.

Please let it be true...

Anyone who wants the rags to get him must be off their heads.

He might get injured and never play, but he might not, and if he doesn't then whoever he is playing for he will be fantastic.

Us or out the country for me

Well what do you do when your boots let water in. FFS what is going on.

Never known such a disorganised transfer window ever.
