I am just curious if anyone rates him here or have a mind that Bobby might give him a go as our creative 'midfielder' sitting just behind Ade and Tevez?

I reckon he'll go with a 4 diamond 2 formation, like he had at Inter with Vieira holding, Cambiasso and Figo/Zanetti as the central midfielders with Stankovic behind the front two. The width came from Maicon (rb) and Chivu or Maxwell (lb), as he could rely on Vieira and Cambiasso to defend well if his team were caught on the counter. This is why I believe he will have a midfield diamond of De Jong, Ireland, Barry, Robinho. And why I'm sure he'll go for a attacking right-back in January.

If Robinho was given this role, license to roam with no responsibility to cover a full back, could be incredible. Interesting to see how Manicni will line up the midfield.

I've been saying this since Mancini was appointed. I agree it would be absolutely amazing :)

What happens to Ireland in this situation? If you fit him in then we effectively have no width.

I agree with all of you. I have wanted him to play in the middle just off the strikers for ages.

It does pose some problems to the inclusion of Ireland. But, then again, Ireland is young and still needs to grow so nothing says he could not be placed there when and if Robbi needs a down spell. Ireland could also play on the right in place of SWP. I think he would do well as he tracks back just as well as SWP and overlap play from the wingback with Stevie's natural mind for the perfect attacking run would likely lead to many goals and assists.

It creates a problem for Bellers, though. Then again, Bellers and Tevez are interchangeable, so we would have som significant depth. That is, if Bellers stays motivated.

sometimes he plays CAM on my fifa team, but thats only when tevez and ireland are injured. i wouldnt, as CAM's need to track back

I'd sooner have Ireland in behind the strikers as a CAM, and buy a new, top-class CM. My honest opinion is that Robinho would be too easily shrugged off the ball in that area of the pitch. Against us, teams sit their midfield bank of 4 or 5 very deep to restrict the space inbetween the lines. I feel Ireland would be better suited to dealing with this situation than Robinho. That's just my opinion. Shoot me if you wish!
