There are times when I think I'd rather have Petrov in the team than Robinho and think that a true 4-4-2 won't work with Robinho. When we re-signed SWP I was looking forward to two proper wingers getting round the full-backs and whipping in crosses but with Robinho I doubt we'll see that. I also wonder just how much of the dressing room bust up is in some way to do with Robinho even if it is not directly.

It does work if Robinho is not played as a left midfield/wing player. Stick him up front behind the striker and put Petrov on the left once he is fit. Sweep on the right, Ireland in the middle.
