It wasn't a lack of respect, though. I just think it was a lack of ability on the part of the manager
Who the fuck does this guy think he is?
How very fickle of us to bemoan Robbie for saying what 90% of the people on here have been saying about Mancini before we destroyed Chelsea.

What people need to realise is that these interviews are being conducted in Portuguesse and there will be tranlsation issues. So ability might actually only be the nearest match to what he has said. He is also being asked specific questions by the media and the way questions are answered will be very different in Brazil to what it is over here....where every answer in a political one ...unless your asking Neil Warnock.

I remember a Robbie interview last month where he reportedly (according to the uk press) said that he would rather go fishing than join Diego at Juventus. What he actually said was he'd rather go to Santos, and the fish reference was actually used as a nickname for Santos. Things get lost/skewed in translation. There is every chance that he isn't being disrespectful, as the rest of the interview is just him being honest.

As usual the dick heads will jump on his back again. People on here can't wait to slate him. I imagine the very same people will be sticking up for 'Shaunny' on the other thread talking about how he's blue through and through...

Well one is moaning about how he's City through and through yet he needs more than 60k p/w week to make it feel like he isn't being forced out. The other one left City on loan to increase his chances of making the world cup squad, as he obviously didn't feel Mancini trusted him enough to play him every week.

Cant blame Mancini for not trusting him he gave him enough time

We paid 32mill on 160 grand A WEEK who is now playing his football for some shit club in Brazil and has decided he ain't coming back

We have SWP who we made 10mill profit on gives 100% and is blue head to toe

Spot the difference?

Robintw@t has had more bad games for us than SWP HAS IN ALL HIS CAREER AT CITY
So dOnt tell me rob is a better option a player who ain't even here

Remember this? He gave us some good times, though, if only for what his signing said about our capacity to attract big names. He's still a bit of a twat, though.

One things for certain regarding Robinho, he's a true media whore the man can't keep his trap shut... ffs it was only 7 weeks ago he did a tv interview stating he wants to be at city for another 10 years. He did a media interview claiming his undying for Chelsea when he was fcuking madrid off, countless other paper interviews some negative towards city. I appreciate quotes get twisted but so should Robbie but imo he couldn't give a flying fcuk.

MEDIA WHORE at least he's world class at something!

Strange to think this ever happened

Robinho points a way back to Blues
Stuart Brennan

March 08, 2010

Robinho has given the clearest indication yet that he intends to return to City in the summer.

The Brazil ace recently paid the rental on a £2m converted barn in Mobberley until January.

His current loan spell with Santos expires in July in time for Robinho to return to pre-season training with the Blues.

But since returning to his homeland in January, the £32.5m British record signing has increasingly appeared to distance himself from a return to Manchester.

This week he was reported to have said that current City boss Roberto Mancini "lacked quality" after putting him on as a substitute at Everton and then taking him off less than an hour later.

City released the player on a six-month deal - under which Santos pay his wages - in the hope that a spectacular World Cup would either reinvigorate him or at least raise his value ahead of a summer sale.

But Robinho himself has instructed's City's player welfare department to sort out the details of his house rental for another year - and he has not sold the £170,000 Lamborghini car he bought after joining City in 2008.

Ideally, City would like Robinho to return in top form - and have the added incentive of Champions League football and a couple of big-name new teammates.

Reports this week have linked them with Real Madrid's Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain but Blues sources insist that no moves will be made until the club's position next season is determined.

Chelsea's Joe Cole would also be on City's radar, especially if they reach the Champions League and with Cole out of contract they could face a fight with neighbours United for the England man's signature.

I have to admit, that I have serious doubts about whether Robbie ever will come back, personally I would love for him to come back and prove the haters wrong.

The signs look good. The MEN article plus Given's post match interview last week. Added to the fact he's getting regular games, scoring goals and smiling again, a really good World Cup could be all that's needed for him to come back and turn on the style, with some even better players around him.

Either that or we get a decent fee for him. Personally i enjoy watching him, and i think he could be really effective once we sort our midfield out, so i'd love to see him back.

I think that after the world cup, there will not be one real City fan who does not want Robinho back at the club.

Some people will no doubt continue to tell us how much they dislike him, but whatever their agenda is, it isn't supporting City.

What true fan could not want to see a fully fit and motivated Robinho playing for their club?

There was never any real doubt that he would return. The club made the position absolutely clear and all the rest has just been media hype and speculation, which some of our so called fans have stupidly jumped right in the middle of.

Fair enough, however it still irks me that when we are about to go on an 11 game run in that is pretty much our most pivotal time in recent history he is not here because he wants to be happy to play for Brazil in the World Cup.
