There's no doubt that Man City do have a big fan-base as well and have won major trophies in the past, even if we have to go back to 1976 for their last major honour (the League Cup) and back further, to 1968, for the most recent of their two top league triumphs. Many would say that Man City, along with clubs such as Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United, have been sleeping giants in recent decades. They may never be able to rival the trophies that Manchester United or Liverpool have won but City are a big club again and anyone who denies that is burying their head in the sand.

Now we may not be a "big club" as you put it compared to the Real Madrid's, Barca's, Milan's, but in the british game we are.

I find it quite strange how any so called city fan can dismiss our herritage, history and status in football out of hand!! We need to treat this as a straightforward business deal. There's no doubting that Robinho is a vagina. I have also always had him down as a 'sunshine player', but the rigours of the EPL are too much for him. He's overrated and we're much, much better off with Johnson in the position.

His track record as a disruptive influence is also there for all to see - he was a benchwarmer at Madrid because he was poison.

We should hawk him round Europe for a 'knock-down' price of, say £20m, maybe do a part ex with a player we really want, and get shut. His punishment will be that he'll end up at a club going nowhere (none of the truly big clubs will touch him after his antics with us and Madrid) and he'll end up frustrated with a career of unfulfilled potential. Meanwhile, we'll be racking up Champions League titles.

We're thinking bigger than Oldham & Stockport now, in the global game we're just starting to make a noise again. No City fan should say we have no history, in many ways the fact we haven't won anything for so long and the soap opera we have been gives us all the richer a history.

History is important. Size of club is subjective. I can't see how anyone can argue that City are not a "big" club everything taken into account there can be no argument. But more importantly we have a future to look forward too and maybe that is more important than history? I know what I'd rather have if it was a choice between our prospects or any other PL club.

Robinho should be careful as he may find that he has no option but to return here. He wanted to go to Barca but the truly world class players didn't want him so that option has gone, and there are not many more left.
