Rochdale

Don't get your hopes up over the new owners.

I smell a Bury situation about them.

At this stage, any new owner is preferable to going bust within the month.

If they turn out to be as bad as Bury’s owner, then they’ll go bust anyway.

This gives them some chance, at least.
The EFL knew Bury's proposed new owner might be dodgier than a Dodge Viper in Dodge City but allowed him to purchase the club as he was the only interested party and the alternative was them going bust.

Oh ye of little faith, I've just been talking to one of the new owners on the indoor market in Rochdale, they have huge plans, reckon they are going to get the government to build them a new 90k seater stadium, Wembley of Rochdale!! He reckons they will be in the prem in two years, not sure why he was being a hot water bottle and a copy of this months "knockitdownandturnitintoflats"

My mate has just finished a course of chemotherapy, 6 sessions, facing further radiotherapy soon. Non Hodgkin Lymphoma.
He’s been really upbeat throughout this and I am so proud of him and the way he’s dealing with it all.
He’s a big Rochdale supporter and the news of these potential new owners have been a huge tonic for him.
If nothing else I want them to succeed just for him.

Looks like they have new owners. Let’s hope they are decent people and will get the club going like their town centre.

Had a night out in Rochdale last week; culture and beer. That re-opened town hall is one of the UK's great buildings.

It’s actually alright for a night out. Few decent craft ale boozers around the centre.

They’ve got a beer festival on this weekend.

Yeah really good little pub trail round the centre, Baum and Flying Horse the CAMRA award winners but a lot of new craft places brought in by cheap rents I guess. And Bombay Brew great curry place.

Bombay Brew is top notch. Bit like an Indian tapas place.

Doing a beer half marathon on Saturday. 8 hours of pubs, with 13 miles walking inbetween.

Starting up near Grains Bar and meandering towards the D’Ale Trail.
