One Saturday morning, I was in Piccadilly records buying tickets for some other show and they’d literally put the ticket in the window announcing the Bryan Adams show that morning. I managed to get a couple of tickets for a few rows from the front. What a great show that was.

As mentioned previously, my favourite ticket agency. It was a good gig. My first Bryan Adam’s gig was at least as good and was in 1985 at the Hammy Odeon. The atmosphere and audience response was such that you just knew his next tour would be in Arenas.

It’s funny, I used to object having to pay 50p on top of the ticket price at Piccadilly Records box office!
If only it was still that today!

Some decent or evocative of time stuff there. I nearly included Small Town as one of my picks.

I also think the Miami Vice theme by the wonderful Jan Hammer should be there (and a few others but I would…)
 
So if the Bangles are a sure fire bet for obvious reasons it would seem churlish to omit the song from the ginger rag lick-spittle on the basis that he is a, well ginger rag lick- spittle. The song was huge that year, no denying it. It is also melodic and well sung. putting aside the obvious reason to leave it off, I think it should go in as representative of the year. Who is with me?
Or do I get a thread ban?

Much though it pains me to say it, that level of censorship is probably the thin end of the wedge so I agree.

Can we have something from a blue immediately after, that we can skip to? I'd go with something off This Nations Saving Grace, maybe Spoilt Victorian Child?

As I was listening (again) to the playlist last night and after hearing that second Kate Bush song, I thought to myself that it would really be a shame if we didn't get the radio staple in, but then I realized who was steering this ship, and I smiled knowingly to myself on how this would likely end.

Nice Coda with Manic Monday starting that off. Easy to remember, as hard as I might try to forget (overplayed, sorry, but I blame FM K92).
