It was ill advised, making a political comment, even if alcohol played a major part. UEFA were always likely to take a dim view of it. Take his punishment, learn a lesson, and move on.
It might strike back, though. The Empire is over.....
I know you can tell it’s shite. Its British you silly boy, now run along and play football.

You obviously know very little about the politics of the area. For both Gibraltarians and the Spanish this is not just about 'some fucknugget' taking offence. Anyone who has been to the area knows how both sides feel about it.Ridiculous. Once again nobody is allowed to have a bit of a laugh because some fucknugget will always find a way for it to be offensive somehow. Was anybody english even remotely genuinely offended by it? I certainly wasn't. The whole world is turning scouse.
Likely just another fine as they constantly look for ways to make some more money. I suspect any potential ban if it went that far would be international only and therefore would actually benefit us in giving him a rest for an international break or two.
Weren't you on Eggheads?Or "who gives a fuck about Gibraltor"
If it was totally detached from UEFA, I'd agree, 100%. The fact is, though, it happened at their homecoming in Madrid, and they had the trophy there. So, directly or indirectly, UEFA were "represented" there. What jurisdiction do UEFA have over a public appearance away from a UEFA match or event? Seems bizarre.
Surely everyone is entitled to a political view? As long as you don’t put that view forward during a UEFA match, what exactly has it got to do with them?
