Vini Jr is a brilliant player, but if he's really not attending, and Madrid teammates also not going, then it is a terrible display of entitlement and doesn't reflect well on any of them.
Would expect Carvajal to be above that and show support to his international teammate should Rodri actually win it.

I’ll post one last thing it’s basically a glorified personality contest for the most part going on some of the previous Winners or not winners and those players finishing in spots leaving you scratching your head..But if and I’m still skeptical that Rodri has won then the global impact of a City player winning it would be huge.
Looks like I was wrong before. Rodri now favourite and Madrid not travelling confirms it.
Are they actually not travelling to it? Can't believe that, surely not. Even if true they know Rodri had won it (which doesn't have to be true), they have a reputation to uphold ffs, a handful of players nominated and all the fancy suits and shoes to showcase. Can't see them not being there.
Besides, would be bad for a spanish club to react like that to a Spain international that won them the Euros getting recognition.
I find it all hard to believe.
