It shot its bolt years ago, swapping Messi with Ronaldo and back again. Haaland not winning it and Rodders doesn't stand a chance this year either.

From what I remember from last year was all the south American journalists went for Messi which was understandable. Just hope they don't go for Vini Junior just coz he's Brazilian. Great player but doesn't deserve it yet.

I've actually always liked him and wondered why he was moved on from Everton so I'm not shitting on him but to get a nomination as one of the best 30 players in the world purely off the back of the admittedly quality hattrick in the Europa league final is a proper piss take.
Anyway, hope Rodri is finally given the recognition he deserves. Don't think he would have had a chance before the Euros, there's been too much hype around bellingham and vinicius but having won the Euros, he should now be the front runner.
