It all sounds a bit too good to be true. Surely Madrid wouldn’t risk the absolute pelters they will receive if they genuinely didn’t show up because one of theirs didn’t win?
It would be one of the most embarrassing things I’ve ever seen in the game.

It does sound a bit fishy. Surely it’s not just the main award that one of theirs is up for? You would think that the club is likely to win team of the year and Ancelotti must have a fair chance at winning the coach of the year. Would they really boycott all that because one of their players didn’t win the main award?
