Yeah, I get the argument that the best performing player from a club that won the CL and La Liga should be favourite for the award. And I think that international tournament success is way overstated in these awards given that it's actually a lower standard of football. But we had to sit through all these pricks talking about what a great 'story' it was for Messi to win it last year ahead of a treble-winning, record-breaking goalscorer. So suck it up. We've had to sit through so many examples where a City won the league, but the POTY or MOTY went to someone from another team.

Part of me thinks it'd be funnier after all this fuss if Vinicius Jr won it.

Hope they choke on their tears, everyone at Real. Only just finding out through you lot that Vini et al are all crying due to the rumours.

Imagine being such a sore loser when nothing has been confirmed. What about those footballers who should’ve won one but was given to someone else? They still attended the ceremonies. Cunts
