If it's a LW we would be better taking a less expensive punt on the lad Adeyemi at dortmund imho.

He’s been messed around by Madrid a lot/played out of position/used from bench etc. 14 goals in 50 odd games (all comps) last season is light years ahead of Savinho.

However some of the sums mentioned are too high imo. Same for Savinho to be fair, £70 mil is astonishing if true

Certainly part of it. But he also provides no balance to the attack, and is clearly the inferior player to Vini and Mbappe. I personally am not over the moon to target the 4th best attacker on a team that we played off the pitch only a couple seasons back. He's being passed by Arda, Diaz, and Mastantuono and they're trying to cash in before his value tanks.

Just more depth I guess so doesn't hurt of course.

I'm pretty sure that we wouldn't buy rodrygo even if we sold savinho. We have doku marmoush bobb cherki and foden who can play on the wings. While I don't agree with that, I could definitely see city thinking it's enough.
