Rodrygo is a Brazilian Grealish. Controls tempo doesn’t lose the ball. But is more reactive and brave. If Pep wants control he’s perfect for that compared to Doku. He’s also loved by Benzema and Joselu due to always wanting to link up with the striker. Haaland would love playing with him

No. He's not an upgrade at all and blocks the path for Mukasa and McAidoo and Bobb.
Also isn't it interesting that Rodrygo isn't exactly lighting la liga or other CL opponents on fire, but only us because we choose to play midfielders at the back which leaves him room to score vs us?
There's projection and there's reality.. put him against a park the bus team every week like we face, he will not get anywhere close the 20 goals people are hoping for!

This feels like something Madrid leaked to put added pressure on Arsenal to complete the deal.
I just can't see how he fits with who we have.
Or as its been mentioned over the last few weeks, the outgoings are going to start ramping up and we see a change.

One of our glaring weaknesses is the lack of end product in our wingers. I don't see why we would spend a fortune for another winger whose end product is also suspect.
The out goings have to be players like Savinho or Doku for this to make sense.Or as its been mentioned over the last few weeks, the outgoings are going to start ramping up and we see a change.
And it feels very unlikely they leave, so I'm going with Madrid using City's name to bait Arsenal.

The journalist that have pushed this hardly get any exclusive from Madrid themselves it’s from the players they get their exclusives. Edu the main one on that program gets all his news from the players camp.
He’s said on the show yesterday Rodrygo does not want Arsenal. He’s wants City or he will stay in Madrid. That Endrick has asked about his house etc. Rodrygo wants Pep and City.

Did you notice the change in Pep after his initial outburst after a game at the end of season saying he would leave if he had to have a bigger squad but then the following press conference said he was joking when he obviously wasnt?
Fuck all to do with Viana rating him or not it's down to Pep lol
I don't even think Pep rates him mate, not as a starter.

I don't see this any being anything more than transfer talk. We are over the limit on non hg so even if we manage to get it down to 17 it would mean one of Savinho or Doku leaving & paying over the odds. It would also seem unlikely if we are looking at changing formation this season & playing with attacking fullbacks

I can't believe I'm saying this about Pep, but I've seen other top clubs do this as a final warning to managers that their positions aren't untouchable, & continued failure isn't an option.
