Rodrygo

What’s the context then?

His numbers are average, he’s been punted around the team because he’s not been good enough to have nailed down a position. Two successive managers have now failed to make him a key part of their team and he rarely performs internationally.

So he has been punted around but still get these stats so look what he could do in a settled pep team?

13 goals 10 assist all comps last season in 53 games played

He also rates Akanji.

You say Mbappe and Bellingham like he wouldn’t be walking into a team with Haaland, Foden and Marmoush. Rodrygo is going to be playing fourth choice again if he comes here, so we’re paying 80m for 10g+a
Why would he not Akanji is an international player that has come in performed as asked won stuff played in various positions for the benefit of the team played injured and keeps himself out of the press

He’s not shit though is he
Yeah he is.
Again, I think you tend to struggle with context. How many games did Kalvin play? What role did he play in the Champions League final?

It's a false equivalence and I'd like to think you can recognise that.
It’s a joke mate…

What role did Akanji play, geeza looked like he was playing for Inter for most of it. Gets away with it with the infamous pre assist I guess. If it wasn’t for Ederson bailing Akanji out that Rodri goal wouldn’t have even mattered. Funny how things fall out but that’s a conversation for a different thread.

I rather like to see Savinho develop in a great player than sell him to Spurs. Unless the player wants to.

If he goes, Im not overly convinced Rodrygo is the answer. There’s a “Robinho”-feeling about him. But if he is rated by Viana, I like to think he is able to fork out the right price cause what’s been rumour seems pretty expensive for this player imho. Yet what do I know …

Lets be real, we signed robinho and put him in a mid table team. 17 years ago, we were doing what the rags are doing now. Just signing names

We will likely not lower the price. And its true Rodrygo's wage demands are huge. Its the price of being a Madrid forward with multiple champions league trophies who contributed in winning these trophies.

What I do know for certain is that he will not like being on the bench. And if there is anyone who can afford him its City. If Savinho is off to Spurs, Rodrygo becomes very realistic.

Stop watching stats and start watching football

Stats or no stats. Doku is no wrecking machine. He's just a player with great dribbling and acceleration over 10 yards with mediocre end product, up to now.....

Wrecking machine is just ridiculous

Not for me, i rate the lad and his figures are good, just not as good as Savio`s when he was playing in that league, he is at his peak, and his team want to sell him, like i said a good player with experience, just like the Barca winger who went to Villa, and as every winger knows there is always another youngster after your place.

Do Madrid want to sell though. I see it as an Alvarez situation, where the player wants a move and it will take a big fee to facilitate the move. Let's not pretend they are pushing him out of the club.

I think thats just the Akanji blindspot. Happens quite often.

For instance everyone remembers Ortega's save against Son. Not many remember why Son was through 1 on 1.

It’s a fair question tbf.
If you do actually support rabid, racist, infantile, reactionary, anti-facts, anti-data, anti-science. And most importantly, anti-TRUTH, “alternative facts” bullshit, then your judgement on everything has to be questioned, surely?

Its a free world, assume, believe, and question whatever floats your both. I too question the emotional intelligence of grown folk who cant keep emotions in check and run around different threads staying off topic to satisfy there own personal peccadillos.

Back on topic, I liked Rodrygo, predicated his predicament last summer and suggested we should go get him before we went for Savio

But since, we added Savio, Marmoush, Bobb and Echemessi... Rodrygo threw a tantrum had a poor season and we have Marmoush.

Interesting times.

While we will never know, it is fair to say the lad wanted a move the year before Mbappe arrived, when Vini jn took the place he wanted, Madrid definitely want to sell, but at the highest price.
