Rodrygo

bit of surprise, Vinicius benched and Brahim too and Xabi Alonso selected front three of Rodrygo-Mbappe-Mastantuono for tonight, away game to promoted side Oviedo.

would he start if he was sold to City in 4-5 days? what if he gets a bad injury?
Milner started for Villa the day or two days before we signed him.

Rodrygo obviously hasn't gone on strike like mardarse has up in the North East.

He wants to stay at Madrid and Alonso has picked him. I would say that's it.
If we do sell Sav we need to focus elsewhere.

"Rodrygo slams his jumper down on the deck while sat on the bench.

Looks like he's frustrated not to have made more of his opportunity but he certainly showed flashes of what he can produce"

I don't believe the BBC with anything but that's what they've put as he's been subbed.

He didn’t look happy at all, not sure if it means anything though.

If he isn't coming there's absolutely no benefit to selling Savinho, why even bother.

Got 6 attacking mids (a square peg shaped one in Marmoush admittedly) for 3 positions, perfect amount, leave it alone.
IF it's true he wants out, not much worse than a young South American lad whos being forced to stay somewhere he doesn't want to be.

If he doesn't put in a transfer request and we keep rejecting bids it's likely we don't see it as impossible to reintegrate him.

Have a good season, lock down your spot, get a new contract, make the Brazil squad and it's all forgotten.

We will soon find out but it doesn't feel right to me.

That being said, the club are seemingly telling some people that they are comfortable not selling him so we must believe that all will be fine if he stays.

He's an upgrade on both Savinho and Doku.

Issue for me is that I don't think he's worth close to £100m.

Then again, if we end up with about £75m for Savinho then I don't know how much I'd worry about the fee.

This is the main issue for me, he's an upgrade on them right now, but is he in 2 or 3 years if they develop here and reach their potential?

I'm not sure if he makes us a title favourite over night or just gives us a slightly better winger than what we have - for a bit. All that for 3x the wages and more guaranteed playing time.

If Sav has to go he's probably the best replacement we can get but I'm not sure it raises our ceiling so much and doesn't really get us any closer to avoiding games like the Spurs game.
