Roger Federer retires (in 2 weeks)

I’d say surpassing Federers majors and beating him 27 times puts Djokovic slight ‘close’

United won the Premier League title 12 times under Ferguson?

Not one of his teams lights a candle to Pep's City teams.

John O'Shea is a Champions League winner.

You can only beat what is in front of you, admittedly.

Larry Holmes was a great boxer but he fought stiffs and Djoko has been able to close the gap and surpass the grand slam count in the last three years due to the injury downturn of his two closest rivals.

All subjective.

Djokovic is akin to CR38. Absolutely maximised his talent, but been a selfish, aloof **** at the same time.

Federer is akin to Messi. A joy to watch. Had the highest natural talent ceiling and left his talking on the court.

Nadal is probably the most powerful of the 3 and has mellowed a lot over the years. He was a bit unpleasant to start with, but learned to deal with the media better. Unbelievable mindset too.

Spot on with all that.

Djokovic has only won 5 in the last 3 years and has not closed the gap and still behind Nadal.
Missed out competing in 2 because of his "covid" beliefs and disqualified from one because of his racket violation when he hit an umpire.
He has won all his titles in the same era as Nadal and Federer.
Federer has only won the French once but it doesn't detract from his career.
Federer is my favourite of all time but Nadal and Djokovic are superb players and all 3 to be around at the same time has benefited them all.

My favourite ever player. No sportsman has ever looked cooler than when he used to step out in his Nike jacket and the way he played with deadly seemingly-emotionless confidence. The coolest non-musician there’s ever been, in my opinion. He never even had a cool haircut… it was just his persona… cool as fuck!

For me as well, while others will win more Opens in the end, others could match his level, others may better him, nobody has played or maybe will play the game as well as he did. Just the way he went about it, he did it aesthetically better than anyone, smoother than anyone else.

Incredible player and role model. Has all the shots and his one handed backhand has made many a club player change from double to single handed backhand! Very underrated serve too - not the heaviest serve but huge variation using the same toss for different serves yet could hit any spot in the service box with unerring consistency.

Emotional end.

Must be so hard to let your emotions go whilst having a mic in your hand.

The most natural player I’ve ever seen.

The Messi to Ronaldo’s Djokovic.

Thank you Roger.
