Anderlecht striker Romelu Lukaku has revealed he is hopeful of sealing a move to the Premier League in the next week.

Romelu Lukaku won the award for the best African player in the Belgian top-flight last month

Lukaku, 18, has been strongly linked with all of them Premier League's top four clubs, with Chelsea and Manchester City thought to be leading the race for his signature.

Amid talk of an £18 million move, Lukaku has now said that he is keen to seal a switch to England in the coming days.

"I would like my future settled by next Monday," he said in the Daily Mirror. "My college exams start the next day and I don't want any other concerns.

"I'll be going to be one of the top two or three clubs in England - or else I'll stay at Anderlecht. I want to leave, because I want to score goals in a stadium where there are 50,000 people, and play in the Champions League."

Anderlecht revealed recently that Barcelona had been priced out of a move for the striker. Real Madrid had also openly expressed interest in Lukaku.

We certainly fit the bill.

Counts Chelsea out as well then.

I've not been so sure of a Chelsea signing in a long time, purely because he has made his desire to come here clear time and time again. The only reason he wont end up at the Bridge is if for some reason, we don't want him.

He toured the place in a Drogba shirt last year I believe.

I don't want him.

I've got a funny feeling he'll flop, he's too young to really judge. How many promising 18 year olds have actually made the transition from promising to actually good? Plus he's going to cost an absolute ton. Too much risk imo.

Or maybe the fact you do not have a manager makes you rudderless, to some degree. Who would want to move to a club without a manager? My understanding is that he is a fan of Drogba rather than Chelsea.

I would have thought your priority would be to buy someone who has a bit of creativity.

If he joins Chelsea, I'd be happy to have Elk re-join us. Elk making darting runs off Silva....

We have a manager, he just hasn't been announced yet. They decided to sack Ancelotti around February.
