We will have such potential in the midfield and forward areas. Imagine the flexibility offered by KDB, Bernardo, Grealish, Foden, Alvarez, Palmer, McAtee, Gundogan and Mahrez, with Rodri/Philips/Lavia protecting; I don't think anyone needs to be a definite like for like.I don't at all see McAtee playing Gundogan's box-to-box midfield pairing role with Rodri he has done most of the season.
He will be more of a 10 (ala Kevin or Foden).
If anything, Lavia has a good chance in a midfield 2, wherein I would have some doubts playing him as a single pivot.

And Palmer, it's only his injury that stopped him getting more minutes. Lavia is going to depend on what we do in the marketplace. He will (I suspect) go out on a season long loan.Well he brought Foden through. I think the player needs to be exceptional. Perhaps a loan is the best move for him?
