I agree, but from a broadcast perspective he is as safe a pair of hands as you will find.

Confident presenter, family man and funny enough to get some of the over 40's laughing and enough dad jokes to get a lot of the under 40s laughing, all while not saying anything controversial.

He is vanilla which all the broadcasters want now with everyone scared of political correctness.

He was the warm up for Kevin Bridges when I saw him at the Apollo around 2015. KB was shite and RR was hilarious.

Personally think he’s gone a bit too deep into his ‘character’ of being a miserable bastard with a ‘nasty’ streak whinging about his family and playing on his skin colour. But think that’s just because he’s on TV that much nowadays that there’s no hiding away from him.

Though I do find his TV shows funny - just not so much ‘game shows’ he presents.

Noticed he’s got a tour coming up, though, so maybe a re-identity finding mission.

Very true, he's gets all this work because he's good at what he does, and he's reliable .... he must be absolutely loaded !

Some presenters are fortunate in that their personalities and humour are ideally suited to a certain programme. In Bradley Walsh's case his relaxed manner and self-deprecation are ideal for Blankety Blank whilst Romesh with quick wit and put downs is ideal for Celebrity Weakest Link. Once you find the right format for yourself the work snow balls.
Conversely some are just shit presenters in this type of format eg Alan Carr in Picture Slam.
