Stones was also 'soft' when he joined. It was one of his weaknesses, these things improve with experience and time. I'd even go far as saying most ball playing centre backs in the modern era are soft, there's only a few exceptions, re; Laporte who are equally aggressive and can switch up their game bodying opposition players. This is also why Dias came in so that there's someone a bit more traditional complementing Stones.
So if there's any argument, it's about whether we need him, or whether we get him if we lose Laporte in the summer. Just depends, I'm sure he won't be our only option if it comes to it.
