Would have loved to have been the proverbial ''fly on the wall'' in the 1998 World Cup Final, just to get the definitive answer as to just what the fuck happened in the Brazilian dressing room before they got their arses kicked by the French. Lots of rumours and stories did the rounds at the time about nervous breakdowns and sponsors insisting that their star man played even though he patently wasn't fit for inclusion.

I can't agree with that, it's madness. Ronaldo was the complete striker, the best of the best. I get tingles up my spine thinking of some of those direct runs he had at goal. The best of the best.

Romario maybe had some more flair and finesse... but Ronaldo wasn't exactly short of those qualities himself, plus he had that explosiveness and brute force going for him. He had it all, - the perfect striker, - the best ever.

Just wish people would lay off the "best ever/of all time" crap as none of us have witnessed the likes of Puskas, Pele etc on a consistent basis so those statements are redundant.
