Were we in for him when he left the rags for Real? - it was after the takeover but I seem to remember the RM deal was a done thing for at least a year before.
He is a preening twunt but I could have got over that if he was playing at his peak with Yaya, Silva, Tevez etc. at theirs.

Spanish law looks a bit shite - once you get caught they seem to let you cough up! Clearly you didn't intend to pay - so the crime isn't not paying but acting in a way to avoid payment. Then as in the Messi case they find you guilty, give you a jail sentence but you don't actually have to go to jail? Is the Spanish justice system based on Monopoly?

If he goes anywhere in England, it's to Utd. Let's not kid ourselves here, he loved his time there and is adored. He holds Utd so dearly in his heart that he wouldn't come here out of principle.
Let's just hope that isn't something that could feasibly happen because he is absolutely and utterly incredible.
