Ronnie James Dio

Rainbow live( the one from Japan, not germany) was Dio at his greatest....i'm so sad, sooooo saaaaaddddd That's Dio by the way

Bad news - RIP. First saw him singing with Elf at Manchester Free Trade Hall - think they were supporting Black Sabbath or possibly Black Oak Arkansas, who also toured on a Sabs bill, Jeez it's late and it was a long time ago.

Really sad to hear this......thought he was pulling through when H&H festival dates were announced....RIP RJD. A rock legend.

Learning this was a bit surreal last night considering there were apparently rumours dismissed by his wife that morning, still as the legend himself said

"The ending is just a beginning" Heaven and Hell by Black Sabbath

Had a bit of a Dio binge last night and stuck on some of his good albums

Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
Haven and Hell - The Devil You Know
Rainbow - Rising
Dio - Holy Diver

Once spotify kicks in again I'm gonna stick on Mob Rules aswell.

Very very sad news indeed a great singer and I loved his time with Rainbow, Man on the silver mountain etc etc,,,,,

Also a really nice guy and will be sadly missed.

RIP Ronnie

My favourite ever singer. Lucky enough to see him once with Dio and once with Heaven and Hell. Had tickets for the Dio gigs in London and Manchester that got cancelled when the cancer became apprent, then my hopes were briefly raised when I heard Heaven and Hell were due to play High Voltage, but it wasn't to be. Hopefully theres some unreleased stuff out there that we will get to hear one day but I would have loved to see him live just one more time.

Expect there to be serious tributes to this God at Download and HV.

R.I.P. Dio

RIP - Absolutely gutted, my favourite singer by a long way, grew on me as quickly as city did and i wish his wife and family all the best. Legend of legends RIP!!
