I'm looking at getting some roof bars for my vehicle (vw tiguan) I have no idea what I need. All I know is that I have raised roof bars already. So do I need footpack and bars? I'm hearing a lot of good things about THULE brand

I went to local Halford today and needed this and that with a roof box and nearly fell over at the till with a £550 quote. Is this right?

Soz mate cant help for your particular motor. Someone on here will have one, or trawl the owners club on tinternet.
Once you know what you need there will be loads on ebay.
No need to pay 500 quid for a couple of steel bars and a plastic box.

Get on Ebay, loads of spurious makes plus the all in one weather proof covers, keeps everything dry and secure.

I prefer roof bars where i can get mi dick out with not too many piss heads noticing. Saves minors on the street gawping in amazement.

Meanwhile my mate @snorky can get it out at street level no problem. Its just a likkle pink cock-tail stick to stir his gin with; )

Bars are pretty generic. Foot pack specific to the vehicle. In short yes. Thule is great but really just for cunts. No name brand off ebay every bit as good. Two people needed to put on/off unless you want to scratch the roof.

When drilling through the roof be sure to use a 5/32" bit and not a 3/16" or the screw will just spin out.
