Rooney appointed Plymouth's manager

It's simply astounding that this man has been given yet another chance to manage a club. Not only is he a moronic buffoon, but he has consistently proved his total incompetence to do the job.

Laughable.
But it’s ok he played for the rags, that alone guarantee’s him the job ..

The stories that were coming out of the Birmingham camp about Rooney were astonishing, and not in a good way. Has nobody at Plymouth asked around in football? He will doubtless be sacked before Christmas, and eventually people will realise that it was Rosenior who did the good work at Derby, not Rooney. I feel genuinely sorry for Plymouths fans.

What was he meant to have done?

Yes, probably goodbye to the championship for Plymouth but am sure they will be consoled by appearing on every sports bulletin as Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth.
“sensational 1-1 comeback for Wayne Rodney’s Plymouth away to the Dog and Duck. And in other football news, Manchester City were fortunate victors away to German minnows Bayern Munich”

Seems like their Director of Football likes to appoint fellow Scousers. Neil Dewsnip (Whiston, Knowsley) was appointed director of football in 2019. Since then they've had Ryan Lowe (Liverpool), Steven Schumacher (West Derby, Liverpool), Ian Foster (Whiston, Knowsley), and now Shrek (Croxteth, Liverpool).

I wonder if he just hires all his mates...
