Ric should ban any fucker who starts these random threads, there's been a few lately.

Is this some form of joke? Do you seriously believe that?

Rather have him than Negrado. 198 goals in 406 games, not a bad return.

Aye, almost as good as Negredo's 70 in 139 whilst playing for a team that wasn't winning trophies and finishing top of the league on a consistent basis.

Rooney's on a downward slope and it's about to get very steep.

Negredo please.

Re: Rooney

Rooney isn't the type of player that can afford to miss pre season through injury. Might take him a few months to get going this season

He was supposed to be in top shape (for him) prior to this injury.

Don't believe that there's not a bigger picture here, though.

I was thinking that, seems too coincidental for him to suddenly be out for a month. Is it the truth? Or has he returned home deciding he really wants to move on and leave the rags?

Re: Rooney

Don't be fooled in to thinking this is 100% a genuine injury (it might partly be) & that's why he's flying home.
Rooney is a shirt seller abroad for Utd & a huge PR draw wherever they visit, so why would you send him home? They have a medical team out there with them & he would be looked after. Isn't the report a pull? So nothing career ending.
It would of made more sense to keep him out there & send him to hospitals, schools, sponsor headquarters etc to boost their profile & try to gain higher revenues etc. His time could of been spent promoting the club.
By flying home they miss out on all that, so why fly home for a pulled hamstring when in reality you could stay out there? IMO he's Chelsea bound, they are interested & I think he fancies the move to the big smoke. He won't risk staying in Manchester after last time & the threats, nor would we be looking at Negrado & Jovetic if he was a genuine target.
He may well have had a pull, but surely sending him home is overkill.
