This is the problem with expressing a view with a rag player who plays for England. If he has a bad game and you voice that opinion it will be twisted around to 'You only hate him because he's a rag'. Perhaps there are more than a few who feel that way: I don't. When a player pulls on the England shirt and he's on that pitch representing his country, MY country, I want that player to absolutely demolish the opposition. It's called patriotism.some of you need to get a grip really, theres hating united then theres just being plain stupid
There have been many rag players representing England in the past and I've had to put aside my natural bias and cheer them on: I don't like it, but if they're playing for the country then they get my support.
Rooney is a great player, only a fool would suggest otherwise, but in the last few years he's definitely lost a bit of pace. He's nowhere near as sharp as he once was and you always get the feeling he's a red card waiting to happen.
We've all seen what happens when he's frustrated and not getting the service he wants, he explodes. He loses all self-control and starts lashing out at everyone around him. How many times in the past have we seen him totally lose the plot and end up forcing his team mates to carry on a man short?
Wayne Rooney was something special a few years ago: a brilliant player who could take the game by the scruff of the neck and take it forward. Now he's just another pretty good player in an England side awash with excellence (excluding Emile Heskey, of course).
To suggest all City fans that don't rate him in an England shirt because he's a rag is illogical.
