Roque Santa Cruz [merged]

I dont think anyone has a problem with us signing RSC, in fact I have not spoken to a City fan yet who has said that they do not want him because of his lack of ability. Most negative comments about the RSC transfer comes from the fee involved and I too feel what we are paying is way more than his market worth at this current time however it is not our money and I think if we try to consider this then RSC is a cracking signing!

Thing that worries me, if you look on the blackburn forums, every RSC thread they have, none of them want to keep him.

Could be sour grapes...but if we sold someone we wanted to keep we'd be kicking off not saying we dont want him.

Groundhog day fellas..... He had his medical friday in walley range. Did he fail it? Well who knows, i just know he's had 1, though if stevie wonder was doing it he'd still find more water on his knee than the old cubicles at moss side swimming baths. Cheer up, i c a terrier in the midst.... Elementary dear watson

I'm confused ???

Everybody is reporting that RSC is having his medical today having flown in from Paraguay yesterday ???

Zin Zimmer told us he had it in Whalley Range last week ????

Might help us out in defence too.
Yeah good point. RSC is great at defending the near post from corners and free-kicks, like Drogba does for Chelsea. Last season, we usually had Caicedo defending the near post and he rarely showed any desire to get the ball away at the first opportunity. Then, as it invariably got past Caicedo, panic would ensue in our penalty box and either last-ditch defending or world-class Shay Given saves were required. RSC will make us more solid at defending set-plays, whilst also making us more deadly from our own.

Is there still a press conference at 4? If it's about RSC I don't think they'd schedule it until he'd passed the medical, given his injury history. He may well have already had it, dunno what today would be about then.

Dont believe Sky my friend... He has already had his medical but for obvious reasons City cannot just announce "he has signed" they leak he is having a medical and then later he signs. I assume he passed it as I have not been told any different. As far as I am informed Tevez has already had one too.
As for people moaning about his injuryt record please bare in mind he chose to miss as much of the season as he did, the injury could have waited until this summer but City want there targets in early.

No one said anything when Arsenal paid £10 Million for a central defender. Strikers cost more. I don't think the fee is that expensive when you consider what other Premiership strikers go for.

£15-18mill well spent me thinks lol
