I thought Everton looked much better when he came on but his diving made me think he was auditioning for a part at the swamp.

The abuse he got when coming over to take the corner made me chuckle, he literally apologised to the fans calling him a diving c**t, a raise of the hand to acknowledge the mistake, was enough for me to realise he could be on his way!!!!

Noticed this and thought the same

I thought his entire performance suggested something like that. He seemed to act almost as if auditioning for us, trying to impress us while being polite and friendly.

I thought he impressed when he came on yesterday.

I would like to see him get more goals and assists because whilst he shows immense promise at times, he does look a player who for the most part just looks good without producing anything worthwhile, i.e goals and assists.

Well to me, he looks like a threat without actually doing a lot. He doesn't score many goals (a few, not a lot) and rarely manages an assist. His passing isn't extraordinary and he seems to make one loose pass while his team are up the pitch every game. If he's a £60m footballer than Julian Draxler is a £100m footballer. Barkley could turn out superb but for a club becoming financially prudent, I think what Everton want would be ridiculous when other parts of our squad need more attention. He isn't a technical central midfielder to replace Yaya, he is more an attacking midfielder to compete with Silva and Nasri... and if we're buying an attacking midfielder, we should be after a great winger IMO. Sterling would be more of an asset for us than Barkley at this very moment I think.

Last season I'd have said yes. This season no.

Going down in my estimation with every passing week

There are very few young English footballers who can use both feet, beat a man, pass, shoot, work hard and defend. This lad is a special talent. Okay, he might not have the top 'stats' that you hipsters use, but he's doing all the processes right, and it's merely a matter of time before the blue-touch paper is lit. A resounding yes for me.

(unless they actually want £60m!!)

He has had a pretty bad injury this year, not to mention Martinez is playing him on the wing

If he wasn't English we wouldn't even be talking about him, maybe he'll become a top player one day but he's light years away from that at present.
