Sorry I was under the impression I was in the Royal Mail thread if you're after a row I'd recommend the General Election thread nextdoor. However if you dismiss all politicians of being liars whose intention is fuck us over maybe your apathy is a bigger part of whatever problem you imagine I am partly responsible for?

It is political isn't it? I support the Royal Mail strike but I wont join in on Tory bashing when Labour are as bad.

Oh well, I was quite looking forward to a pre-christmas strike and standing around a brazier on a picket line.

For you non-posties, you can rest easy, you'll all get your cards and pressies now.

Although as Bimbo suggested a few pages back, an overtime ban and work to rule would be a far more effective ploy in the run up to christmas. Our delivery office would descend into utter chaos within a couple of days.

You're not making one ounce of sense it's obvious you're one of the people I was pointing out as a rosette on legs, good for you. As for calling me a weasel and a worm and earlier laughing at old people being put in a shit nursing home it shows what an idle minded gobshite you are.

I ain't a leftie believe it or not I'm slap bang in the middle, and regarding old people in on about boomers wilfully voting in a party that is going to make the arse end of their lives infinitely worse, if they choose to do that then fuck em they deserve everything they get. And I'm sure the youth won't forget whilst having to care for them.

I'd never claim being a postie is a particularly difficult job. It don't need much brain power that's for sure, which is why after 20 years as a lawyer i quite like it. However, it is physically demanding, and i've lost count of the number of people who have started since I started and have left because they can't hack it physically. Yes, it's not hod carrying or stevedoring, but it takes its toll on your back, knees and feet.

In short, it's not one of the easiest jobs around. I can think of many that are easier, some of which I have done.
