I would imagine that as he was born in 1914 and that washboard clip is in the 70's at the earliest...that would have made him in his 60's at least!

My bad...thought you were on about the washboard clip. I'm still going to say he is older though...as that picture is from the later 70's version of Sykes and not the 60's version (check out the shirt and collar)...meaning he was at least in his late 50's.
