RSC

Build a squad, not have to rely on Ched as main centre forward next season. Cup games and the like. If we had the eleven best players in the world playing for us, during the course of a season you have injuries, suspensions that is why squad building is important if you want to win something. We have a 31 man squad now but if you went through it and asked yourself how many of the players in there are good enough to get us in top six you will probably find theres about seventeen. MH has stated want 31 quality players capable of winning us something it is what te top four have and always had that is why they are top four.

We'd still have to rely on Ched because RSC will undoubtedly be injured, just like Boj and Bellamy!

Of course, the more injury prone players we buy the more likely that we'll have atleast 1 to call upon at any given time ;)

Not if your front line strikers are Eto o, Villa, Tevez and Robbie.

Any agreement made with City before the ADUG buy-out and especially before Hughes took charge would have absolutely no value now, so you can forget the 15 million deal. If we want him, Hughes will have to pay at least 18 million, end of...

Tell that to the player who singed a contract extention due to the deal being given the all clear! He signed (poor advice if you ask me) at Blackburns request so City couldnt back out of what was agreed (he didnt even sign to increase his wage!!!!), it was all part of the compensation for us taking Hughes off them. Ince was informed of it and everything was hunky dorry then..... Booom Fat Sam came in and started to fuck things up and Blackburn shit themselves that he would walk if they didnt let him handle matters (oh he did spit his dummy)dispite everything being in place pre Fat Sam arriving. Then as I say the injury was the final straw the broke the deal down.

I can tell you now that it was £15m max. Now it may have gone up since the end of the season

Due to his fantastic perfromances last season? Surely the price would be going down not up.

Yep I would assume that too but some seem to think it's gone up? Like I said though his form went shite once the City deal fell through. He was made promises that were not delivered by Blackburn, he felt let down and in turn fell out with the club. He could have carried on proving a point but didnt, now I'm not sure I want someone who is like that but if he can perform as he did his first season over here the I'd say go for it.

I think back in January RSC may well have been a good target for us, as we found out January is not the easiest time to spend the money. however last season has been and gone and i'm sure we must have been looking at other options as far as a target man in concerned. even more so when you consider his injury problems, i think if MH is going to go for the top 6 finish he needs to have a more prolific and less injury prone front man than RSC.

i can't see any of the Sky 4 looking at RSC and thinking he is anything other than a squad player to cover injuries.

i just have a gut feeling that bigger better players are going to have bought into the project idea and will be coming sooner rather than later.

I really hope we go nowhere near RSC this summer, ideally he stays at Blackburn rotting away and if the 12m for anyone but City is true then fat sam can, fuck off if he thinks he is getting TBH, we don't need the money let him go out on loan somewhere else.

he's a dead good player IMO but his injury record is shocking. he'd have to pass six medicals before I'd buy him. look at saha, tremendous talent, but only worth two mill cos of the injuries. No-one in their right mind should pay more than 8m for RSC, and I get the feeling Hughes doesnt want to risk a barrage of criticism if he signed him and he got injured, especially after Bellamy.
