Krombacher is the best lager I have had over here. Six pints and you are ready to invade Poland.
But can't drink the mad bastid Belgian beers like Leffe etc. Jeez they are evil. People say the Belgians are boring, they're not boring, just pissed. To them, Stella is weak and a 'breakfast beer'.
And as for the comment on 'fish scales' on beer making, think its actually part of their internal organs, and they call it 'Finings'. Love to remind my Veggie mate of it when he's drinking.

Had many a Krombacher when I went to Hamburg, lovely stuff... Also they did a dark beer called Duckstein, if they did that over here I'd be a raging alchie by now.

Not the European lagers mate. Batter most bitters when it comes to strength. I prefer a good bitter meself, but depends what pubs you find yourself in. And not an option really if in European bars.
Suprisingly, the Yank 'Micro Breweries' do some great 'beers' nowadays, not just lagers.

yes and as for that 4% stella ive seen advertised i cant bring myself to look at the billboards that they are advertised on...pathetic.....needs boycoting so its withdrawn..they need to know that only 5.2/5.1 will do..and the bottles are 5.0 too.....this was discussed a while back and it wound me up then....
I don't understand this obsession with strong Lager. Whilst I like a nice becks, I think becks vier is nice too. It's not as dry as becks and is more refreshing.

All lager's are shite, get some proper ale down you! Go to the marble arch and try some of their quality ale's, they also have a menu of lager's from around the world, which is useful as most of my mate's are lagerboy's!!

I like Stella myself, the fridge is full of it. I can still appreciate other beers though and not be blinded by the % on the side of the can.
