Sorry bud but I can’t disagree more strongly on that.

Hopefully you know I’m saying it because I believe it to be true. Although I hope I’m wrong.

Hopefully Laporte won’t get injured but we still haven’t got a replacement for Vinny.

I also think we need legs and pace next to Rodri because imo we suffer with Rodri and Gundogan.

Thanks for not calling me a **** though Sam.

So this an accounting trick ? We get 20 million for Ottamendi who we value at about 8 according to some reports and other clubs want on a free and Benfica get 70 for Dias who we value at 50

Right ?

What are the FFP implications ?
Basically you pull forward a profit into this year at the expense of later years. Whatever Otamendi is sold for is profit this year and whatever we spend on Dias is spread over his contract.

I understand players are amortized and I get that affects profit and I get what this does but do you think a that normal business would not want to exaggerate profits and costs does it not result paying more tax ? Is this only due to FFP ? Do we need more profit because we are starting to replace our early title winning team e.g Kompany Bravo Silva Augero Fernandinho and so its about managing cash ?
