A defender doesn't need to have pace it they are bang on with their positioning and can have a burst of acceleration in their locker.

Anyway teams that counter of hoof it over for a pacey forward should be having the supply line cut off by the midfield to nullify such a threat, and playing ferdy/rodri together should do that.

Third time lucky with this guy? Never seen him play but surely can’t be that bad with 18 internationals at only 23.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see us ending up with Tarkowski at this stage. Anyone decent is an upgrade on Garcia and Otamendi tbh.

You can always rate him by watching a YouTube compilation, or playing Fifa 20. If you're still unsure you can check Wiki and even have a look what he looks like in a Panini sticker album. Just like many other 'experts' do on the transfer threads; )

They certainly have made an attempt for those 3, as it has been widely reported. You can continue to believe the fantasy that Dias was our number one target. Why have we dragged out signing a RCB until the final week of the transfer window?

Or a ballanced team, based on what we need, not what they cost.

Seeing as all CB we have been linked with are priced around the €50-€70M euros mark with the €70m being napolis stupid asking price, why are you assuming we don't consider all option equally suited, yet we were choosing KK on age and experience rather than the hope of youth.

We may rate JK and RD as highly as KK for all you and I know in their ability but wanted experience.

I din't see us downgrading on playing ability or us going for 3rd/4th choice, but recognising we cannot deal with some parties and so move onto to our other viable options.

We have Laporte and Mendy back from a season out, we've replaced Leroy, bought a quality CB and appear to be buying another.

Will just be missing a striker then, then it would be 10/10

I watch Benfica and City every week. Really think he's a good fit. Disappointed we are going to sell him before the Euro championship. He's been immense with the national team which ended up attracting more attention. I'd be happy if at least he goes to City (my 2nd club). He's in the top 5 out of all the good players we sold over the last decade. Felix, Ederson, Bernardo, Dias and Di Maria.
