Maybe we decided we needed the slightly cheaper option because we are keeping some pennies to one side for a late attempt for Messi.
If Dias was our number one target it wouldn’t have emerged a week before the deadline. Why would we brief sources close to the club about KK and other targets all summer to then move for our supposed number one target a week before the deadline?

Truth, says who, you in the inner sanctum of Pep and the board? and as for hurt, personally don’t give a shit who we sign, as I have no idea whether value for money but I trust those in charge to do the right thing.Truth hurts
How’s it a gamble based on league? We’ve signed Fernandinho from Ukraine and Ederson from Portugal, Bernardo from France. Good players are good players and Dias has been on everyone’s radar for 3 years now. I’ve advocated for his signing on here before so I’ll be chuffed if it goes through. There might be a good player in Stones but we won’t see him at his best for City again, Dias would have to drop several levels to be as bad as Stones and Otamendi currently are.
