Hi I'm new to the forum and I'm hoping somebody could give me some info about a rug I have aquierd. I belive it was from maine road but have no documentation to prove it so I don't know if anybody on here will recognise it or has a photo of it in the building I'm struggling to upload the picture so if anyone could help with that to it would be great
Thanks colin
School boy error, everyone knows you need a second female user name when advice is neededHi Colin, welcome to the forum. You say your gender is male, many have come on here and claimed the same. It gets you nowhere.
I was asked via my facebook about this and responded earlier. Yes, it definitely looks like the carpet that was in the Main Stand upstairs reception area after it was refitted c.1994. If anyone went up there they'll remember that there was a semi-circular seat which had a bust of Joe Mercer on (in the MCFC collection still) and in front of that large seated area was the above crest. I think it was sold at the auction in 2003.
Thanks Scottyboi is there any chance you could send me a copy of the photo with it in ??That is indeed the rug from Maine Rd I have pics with it from the week before we left the place :( enjoy it fella.
When you do sell it, be sure to buy yourself a new brush out of the money. that one is fuckedThanks for the info Gary James do you have any idea where I could get any photos of it in the reception area? ? Also out of interest do you know how much it sold for at auction
