I like both, although the kicking rule is slowly destroying Union. Beofre that was more like hardcore chess

While League is just pace and fury which makes for a great 80 mins

I played on the left wing in Union and much prefer it to League.

Enjoy watching union, but internationals only, don't follow a club side. Used to watch league as a kid. Alex Murphy and Ray French were great commentators, loved seeing Des Drummond, Henderson Gill, Lee Crooks and Joe Lydon... that era. Tend to find union flows better as a game.

I watch both codes. To be fair to Ireland and the Union clubs you cant help but watch the teams like Leinster and Munster as they offer a lot. The Leinster backs are when on form World Class while the Munster have that old fashioned grit and a decent backline. So for the Ireland international team we got a mix of both worlds leading to winning the 6 Nations Slam 2 years ago.

Saying that I much prefer the League got on Wigan at the start of the year to win the Super League got odds of 10/1 so far so good. Dont have a team I support it just rugby the way it should be played. The Tompkins brothers are top notch and Wigans team this year is on another level when on form. Also Saints and Leeds now seem to be loosing the power strugle to Wigan and the Wolves this year which is great to see.

A union fan myself. Went to twickenham in 2005 (or was it 2006?) when sale sharks won the premiership against leicster.
I'd reccomend going down to edgley park on Fridays as last seasons director of rugby has been replaced. His tactics were like Sam allardyce only rugby.

With Rugby union there's something very homoerotic about the scrum,at least in league it's over and done with quickly and with minimum fuss the union blokes just seem to hang around there for an eternity.
Salford for me,my uncle was steward at the Willows when we were kids me and our kid used to be ball boys and take down a tray of pints at full time to the dressing rooms.
It was legalised assault in those days though.

Union, family prefer league as my Grandad used to watch Swinton but I played Union till I was about 16. Find it more interesting.
