rugby league or union???

Season ticket holder at Salford RLFC. Was brought up in Weaste, round the corner from the ground, so means just as much to me as City.

Tried a Union match last season, Sale v Leicester. Paid £32 to sit in Edgeley Park, and not one try scored all night! Like others have said, like the Union international games.

I tried watching Sale v Bristol 2-3 years I think it was... may aswell of gone and watch ping pong.

prefer union at international level where france, new zealand and ireland can be great to watch. at club level though, league is more exciting. keep an eye on salford and living in hull i prefer rovers to f.c. derby day is quite good round here.

League by far.

Union, might watch the odd tri nations or France game.

Took a Union mate from Wales to watch Sale Vs Saracens couple of months ago. Nice weather, drinking jars in the stands. If I hadn't had a bet on the game I'd have been bored out of my skull.

For those who don't know the difference...

League - a form of rugby where the ball spends most of its time in hands.

Union - a form of rugby where the ball spends most of its time in the car park.

As some have already said, at club level league more than holds it own but for international games then union wins hands down, league just doesn't do the international game at all really.

They are two completely different games. I play union and love it to bits, it is a very tactical game but at the higher levels the kicking game can be very very boring. Went watching England playing at the swamp a couple of years ago and was bored out of my mind, everyone was booing Andy Goode every time he got the ball because all he did was kick for goal.

At the more grass roots level it is a completely different game. much more ball in hand running and rucking.
