Rugby League Season 2023

Jumping into the NRL this year, been watching on and off the last couple of years and going to head to a few warriors games finally.

Have Leigh changed names? Centurions is a much better name tbh

I need to start watching this again. Had my eye off the ball for years but used to enjoy Rugby League as a fan with no team just a fan of the game.

I can’t stand all these silly animal names for sports clubs.

Centurions was better than Leopards, but Leigh RLFC was better than Centurions.

Warrington fans have never liked being called ‘Wolves’. A few years ago when the club announced they were making a big change, all the fans got excited that we were finally going to drop the ‘Wolves’ name from the club. But all it was was a new club badge and all the fans were left disappointed.

We are Warrington RLFC, the Wire is our nickname. We will never will be the Wolves.

Hull FC, Hull KR and St Helens have all got it right by not taking on stupid names. And Wakefield for dropping Wildcats from their name.

Me and the mrs have season tickets with Wigan Wariors . Having a huge laff over the John Bateman situation, he left Wigan end of last season to go back down under and join struggling West Tigers and he hasn’t even turned up in Australia yet ! Pmsl good riddance !

That's virtually where I am with it. Love watching it, regardless of who's on. But I do look out for Salford's results based on nothing more than it's the closest club to me.

Same with me when I was a kid that.

I’m from Manchester and loved rugby league but couldn’t get on board with Salford and their name and colour links to United, so didn’t have a club.

But did my degree at Padgate Campus and played on the uni RL team in old Wire kits and did my Second Year work placement at Warrington coaching rugby and working on matchdays so they’re my team as I got that connection with them.

Electric start! Pitch is cutting up a lot already. Dufty slipped then in-goal, he wanted to go under the sticks:
