IFAB have changed some smaller details for the rules of the game in summer:
https://www.premierleague.com/news/4076251
https://www.theifab.com/law-changes/latest/

To name some,

1) Subs warming up

A slight tweak is that from this season, the number of substitutes allowed to warm up at the same time on the perimeter of the pitch during a match has gone up from three to five players per team,
as teams are able to make 5 substitutions at any one time.

2) More accurate calculation of added time

From this season, when a goal is scored, match officials will only start adding time on to the end of the match when the delay between the goal and the subsequent kick-off exceeds 30 seconds.
Given that there were 3.28 goals scored per match last season on average, this change may result in a significant drop in stoppage time this season.

3) Penalty kicks
Firstly
, there is a clarification that when the penalty-taker places the ball, part of the ball must touch or overhang the centre of the penalty mark.

Secondly, encroachment by players at the moment the penalty is taken will be penalised only if it has an impact (to save VAR time), following the same philosophy as goalkeeper encroachment at a kick.
So, for a defender, his encroachment will be relevant only if he either has an impact on the kicker or, in the event that the ball rebounds into play, prevents a goal or prevents a goalscoring chance.
For an attacker, his encroachment is relevant only if he impacts or distracts the goalkeeper, scores a goal or creates a goalscoring chance.

Bundesliga refs are also being asked to look for clean throw-ins
and a stricter 6-second-rule for keepers with the ball in their hands, to avoid time wasting.

Enough room for new discussions in various situations, guaranteed...

Have the rules in the premier league changed in relation to handball? Seems like everything was handball last year and now not enough is. A google search seems to say IFAB changed the rules to allow more leniency for yellow and red cards but not to change penalties and cancelling goals but looks like the premier league have and those rules are different.

Not seen it but from what I hear Crystal Palace goal wouldn’t have counted last year and sure there was another one earlier in the year

Still not banned penalty takers from faking their kicks.

They should let keepers come off the line again to balance that out.

About time they started looking at throwins (even if just in one league for now).
I reckon 60% of all throwins taken should be pulled back for a foul throw.

For Gvardiol it’s 100% haha
Big Mal A proposed an indirect free kick for deliberately kicking the ball out of play.

Very few things in football piss me off more than a keeper catching a ball and then collapsing on the ground wasting time whilst his team mates start ruffling his hair

Will this six seconds start immediately the keeper has hold of the ball, or after all opposition players have left the penalty area?

The six seconds officially start from the moment the goalkeeper has the ball under control by using his hands.

I’ve mentioned this elsewhere but FIFA are currently trialling a revised law on this.

The time the goalkeeper is allowed is increased to eight seconds. But it’s to be strictly enforced. The referee will count down the last five seconds on his hand, with his arm in the end. If the ‘keeper hasn’t released it in eight seconds, the opposition are awarded a corner. As opposed to currently, where it is an indirect free kick. That’s one of the main reasons why it’s thought referees were so reluctant to penalise, as an indirect free kick in the area are notoriously difficult to police.
